BUSI 5973 - ECONOMICS FOR OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE This course bridges classical economic principles with the operational realities of leading a high-performing organization. Students will learn to evaluate labor, supply, and operating costs while understanding their impact on capacity, scalability, and system constraints. Using a framework of “Act, Learn, Adjust,” participants will assess current organizational realities, explore step changes in capacity, and develop economic models that connect day-to-day operational decisions with long-term strategic goals. This is economics not as abstract theory but as a practical toolkit for leaders seeking to build value-based, self-governing organizations capable of scaling with clarity and resilience.
